Vacuum forming
Trays, covers and housings formed from sheet, for short and medium runs.
01 / Overview
Large parts, formed fast.
Vacuum forming shapes heated plastic sheet over a single sided tool. It is ideal for trays, covers, housings and other large components where size, consistency and cost matter, particularly across short to medium production runs.
Because the tool is simpler, tooling usually costs less and is ready sooner than an injection mould. Injection moulding is the better choice for fine detail and high volumes, and an engineer will tell you which process suits your part.
